SMART Lipo Before and After Photos

SMART Lipo is available at Sunset by renown liposuction surgeon Dr. Steven Svehlak. Smart Lipo is a minimally-invasive, laser liposuction that targets small pockets of fat on the body or under the chin. The fat is liquefied and then gently removed. Smart Lipo's advanced technology utilizes an optimal blend of two laser wavelengths for fat removal, tissue tightening and smooth, reliable results.

While SMART Lipo can be used in an Operating Room, this technology is most often performed on an outpatient basis (in our office) under local anesthesia (you’re awake during the procedure). The incisions used are about the size of the tip of a pen and the liquefied fat is gently suctioned out. During this process, new collagen is produced which also gives a tightening effect.

Typical Recovery Time After SMART Lipo
SMART Lipo patients usually experience less bruising, swelling and recovery time when compared with traditional liposuction. In fact, Smart Lipo patients can often return to work within only a couple of days after having the Smart Lipo procedure. Since general anesthesia is usually not used, the time required for a patient to stay after the procedure is greatly reduced. Patients often go home within an hour or so after their procedure.

You will get instructions on how to take care of yourself after Smart Lipo, as well as a compression garment or compression bandages, which are important to keep on, as instructed, for the smoothest possible results. Most patients experience some minor bruising and numbness just after the Smart Lipo procedure, but both should disappear within a few days, if not sooner. Some swelling will also occur, but should go away in about one week.
