Those living in or near Los Angeles area looking for
a plastic surgeon to perform belly button surgery (also known as umbilicoplasty) can visit our office, where board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Yamini and Dr. Svehlak can usulaly re-shape and revise belly buttons using only local anesthesia. This procedure is for those with "outies" who would rather have an "innie", those who don't like the shape of their belly button, or those with belly button hernias.
Typical Recovery Time After Umbilicoplasty: The first day
after your umbiliconplasty procedure, you may be sore and some swelling and bruising may occur, depending on the type or revision done, and will continually
get better over the following 1-2 weeks.
Most patients are back to work in a matter of days, and can resume moderate
physical activity after a week or two to their comfort level.
Above
Set: Dr. Yamini: Umbiliboplasty (repair of an undesireable belly button). This young girl was born with a very enlarged umbilicus and was embarrassed to show her nice abdomen. She did not have a hernia, just a very enlarged, redundant belly button skin. This is a simple in-office procedure.
Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. This is
a 19 year old female with excess belly button skin. The belly
button was reshaped to give a more natural “innie”
appearance. Now she can wear a bikini with confidence. These
photos are 3 months post-op.
