Correcting Asymmetrical Breasts
Most women have slightly different-sized (asymmetrical) breasts. In cases where the difference in size is pronounced, correction can be achieved. There are several ways to go about a correction for assymetrical breasts. Some want to augment (enlarge) the smaller breast to look like the larger one. Some want to reduce the size of the larger breast to match the smaller one. Breast augmentation , scarless breast reduction and traditional breast reduction are widely performed procedures, and nipples can also be altered to make them more symmetrical.

Typical Recovery Time: : This really varies depending on whether a breast augmentation, reduction or uplift was performed to even out the breasts. For the first few days after the breast augmentation surgery you will wear a special surgical bra to minimize swelling and support the breasts. Expect to feel tired and for your breasts to feel tender for the first 24 to 48 hours at least. You will continue to wear one of the surgical support bras for several weeks at all times. Most women take one to two weeks off from work and normal activity; strenuous activity is not recommended for six weeks after the operation. Avoid lifting and pushing for two weeks--no heavy lifting or pushing for four weeks.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini: Severe congenital asymmetry was repaired with silicone augmentation with 397 cc on right and 421 plus benelli mastopexy on left. "After" photo taken 6 months post-operatively.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. McGhan, gel smooth round implants, style 15, 339cc each, under muscle (dual plane) with crescent uplift, wherein minor assymetry was also corrected.

Above set: Asymmetric breasts were repaired with periareolar dual plane breast implants. Saline 390 cc (moderate profile) used on right, 225 cc (low profile) used on patient's left breast. The result is a more balanced, natural look.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Deflated left breast implant replaced to match.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Removal of 20-year old silicone implants, removal of calcified capsular contracture, replacement with saline implants, and small periareolar uplift.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Patient had deflated right implant and capsular contracture on the left, with assymetry. She had implants replaced and release of capsular contracture.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Asymmetric breasts repaired plus breast lift.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Asymmetric breasts repaired with implants plus binelli breast lif to make nipples appear more even.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini: Lipo scarless breast reduction and breast lift to reduce breast size and weight, and correct breast asymmetry (right breast was bigger and lower than left). Now they are much closer in size and shape, with only a tiny scar below each breast and virtually no down time.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini. 3 months after circumareolar (Binelli) Mastopexy and Silicone breast augmentation [330 cc on left and 371 cc on right]. Breast assymetry was corrected as well.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Correction of breast deformity and asymmetry with 750cc high profile silicone implants.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Correction of slight breast assymetry using only implant placement, as patient did not want recommended breast lift (mastopexy) to correct the problem. Instead, Dr. Yamini placed the implants in the best possible position to offset the assymetry.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Right breast revision with removal and release of severe internal scarring, and release of crease.
