The main three ways lips can be enhanced during a Los Angeles lip augmentation are via injectible fillers --which are temporary, V-Y plasty or implants, both of which are permanent.

There is a wide variety of implants on the market today made of natural and synthetic materials. A V-Y plasty does not utilize an implant, but pulls out a portion of the patient’s own lip that is hidden inside, thus, widening the lip externally.  This can be performed on the upper lip and the lower lip.
