A Mommy Makeover is an individualized surgical plan designed to meet the goals of a women who has had children and wishes to restore their body.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding can take a toll on the physique, especially in the abdomen and breast areas.  Sagging breasts, deflated breasts, excess fat, excess abdominal skin, diastasis (abdominal separation) and stretched out abdominal muscles can all be addressed.  Each plan is customized, depending on a patient’s physique and goals. The Mommy Makeovers before and after photos below and on the following page illustrate the impact this type of transformation can have.  The safety of having multiple procedures done in one surgery is a question often asked during Mommy Makeover consultations.  There have been a number of studies that have not demonstrated and increase in the number of complications after combination procedures, compared with single-procedure surgeries.  That said, the single most important factor one should look at when considering a mommy makeover is your surgeon.  A surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery and is highly experienced in multi-procedure surgery is a good place to start.  There is also a benefit to having only a single period of recovery after surgery instead of having several single-procedure surgeries.  Finally, there is a significant cost savings in doing several procedures at once, since overhead costs like anesthesia and operating room are only charged once.
