Los Angeles Nipple Revisions, Reductions & Repairs

Correcting Nipple Assymetry or Reducing Nipple Size
Most women have slightly different-sized (asymmetrical) nipples. In cases where the difference in size is pronounced or the patient is seeking smaller nipples, correction can be achieved. Breast augmentation or breast lifts are sometimes performed in conjunction with a nipple enhancement. Nipples can also be altered to make them more symmetrical or smaller.

Typical Recovery Time: : This really varies depending on whether a breast augmentation, reduction or uplift was performed with the nipple revision. You may need to wear tape and/or a special surgical bra to minimize swelling and support the breasts. Expect to feel tired and for your breasts to feel tender for at least the first 24 to 48 hours. You may be instructed to continue to wear one of the surgical support bras for several weeks at all times. Most women take one to two weeks off from work and normal activity; strenuous activity is not recommended for six weeks after the operation. Avoid lifting and pushing for two weeks--no heavy lifting or pushing for four weeks.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini. Patient wanted dual plane breast augmentation, but was also concerned about the size and symmetry of her nipples. Dr. Yamini created smaller, more even nipples. Breast augmentation was done using silicone implants Style 45 (extra high profile), 460 cc.

Above Set: Dr. Yamini. This 24 year old eveloped severe inverted nipples after breastfeeding. Dr. Yamini corrected the nipples, and "after" photo was taken 1 month after the procedure.

Above Set: Dr. Yamini. Only 3 weeks after a Benelli Mastopexy and Augmentation with Silicone implants (390cc). Circumareolar technique used to limit the scar to only around the areola. Incisions will become less noticeable as the healing process continues.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Breast lift with nipple reduction. After photos were taken only a few weeks after surgery, so the redness of the scar below the breasts will fade further with time.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Periareolar (Benelli) mastopexy augmentation with silicone implants.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini. Patient wanted breast implants, but was concerned about the look and projection of her nipples. Dr. Yamini created flatter nipples that didn't project out as much. The incision around the aereola is virtually undetectable and flatter, more attractive nipples were achieved. Patient stated there was no loss in sensation to her nipples.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini: Patient had breast implants 10 years ago elsewhere and wanted smaller, perkier breasts. Dr. Yamini did an implant exchange using smaller implants (475cc silicone implants) as well as a Binneli Breast lift and reduction of areolas.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Yamini. Breast lift with nipple reduction and liposuction.

Above sets: Dr. Yamini. Repair of botched breast augmentation and circumareolar (Benelli) mastopexy. Breasts shapes were droopy and the areolas were abnormally enlarged. Dr. Yamini replaced the old saline implants with new 270 cc silicone implants (Style 10, moderate profile), corrected the shape of the breasts and reduced the size of the areolas.

Above set: Dr. Yamini. Asymmetric breasts and nipples repaired, plus breast lift.

Above (3 sets): Dr. Yamini. Repair of breast lift done elsewhere. Exchange from saline to silcone implants, improved scar around nipples and performed liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and thighs.

Above (2 sets): Dr. Svehlak. Patient was unhappy about very large DD size breasts from previous breast augmentation by another surgeon with saline implants. Patient had breast reduction with lift, and placement of smaller saline implants. Assymetry of breasts and nipples was also corrected.
