Juvederm vs. Restylane
<<Back to Previous Page
Dermal fillers are one of the top cosmetic procedures for restoring a youthful complexion without having to undergo severe or painful cosmetic surgeries.
Juvederm Los Angeles and Restylane are two popular dermal fillers available on the market. Both products are FDA-approved. As the skin ages, collagen and elastin break down underneath the surface, which can cause fine lines, deep wrinkles, folds, and expression lines in the skin. Los Angeles Juvederm and Restylane work as dermal fillers to plump the complexion, add volume to the lips, and reduce sagging in the skin with minimal pain and minimal downtime.
What Is the Difference?
The main differences between Los Angeles Juvederm and Restylane are:
1)
JUVÉDERM® XC is the ONLY hyaluronic acid (HA) filler FDA approved to last up to 1 year after initial treatment. Its unique manufacturing process provides a high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid which means results usually last longer.
2) Juvederm's unique manufacturing process also works to create a smooth consistency gel, which some say gives it a smoother, more natural look and feel. Other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers currently on the market, such as Restylane, are made of granular consistency gels.
3) Finally, Juvederm is the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color.
