Plastic Surgery in the News  'Mommy Makeover' Rush for Plastic Surgery From telegraph.co.uk British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) says mothers in this country are already one of the main groups seeking tummy tucks and breast surgery. In a recent survey of 2,000 British new mothers, one in four confessed they were considering cosmetic surgery, with three quarters admitting they were shocked by the effect pregnancy had had on their bodies. Almost all said they were repelled by the sight of their flabby stomachs, droopy breasts and stretchmarks. Last year, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported that 365,000 women between the ages of 20 and 39 opted for what is swiftly becoming the ultimate cosmetic surgery: the so-called "Mommy makeover". Patients are advised to avoid these procedures, which are commonly known as lipolysis, mesotherapy, or the brand names Lipodissolve and Lipostabil.
