Have a question regarding Cellulaze? Find the answer here.

What is Cellulaze? Cellulaze permanently reduces the look of cellulite by working under the surface of the skin. This cellulite laser device is the first in the world to offer long-term reduction of the appearance of cellulite in only one treatment. The laser works by reducing fat pockets, making the skin more thick and elastic, and releasing the regions of skin depression. Cellulaze is backed by years of clinical research, which has shown that it increases the thickness of the skin on average by 25% and the elasticity of the skin by 29%. Thicker and more elastic skin further help to flatten and smooth the surface of the skin.

Cellulaze is the only treatment to treat the fibrous bands beneath the skin. A very small cannula (or tube about the size of the tip of a pen) is inserted under the skin and delivers energy directly under the skin to increase the thickness and elasticity of the skin. Simultaneously, it releases the fibrous bands that pull the skin down in areas to cause “dimples”. Releasing these bands helps minimize the dimpled look of cellulite. Finally, the laser helps diminish the lumpy pockets of fat that protrude though the fibrous bands, under your skin. The results? A smoother, healthier look.  What body regions are ideal for the Cellulaze procedure? Cellulaze can be used on any area of the body where a patient has visibly lumpy, dimpling skin. Ideal areas are the thighs, abdomen, and buttocks.   Who is a good candidate for Cellulaze? Cellulaze delivers the best results for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite in certain areas. The dimples must be visible and moderate in depth. It is not as effective on: – Very, very mild “orange peel” skin (if it’s questionable whether or not you even have cellulite, you may not be a candidate) – Dimples that are extremely deep   How long is the typical recovery time for this procedure? Cellulaze is a minimally invasive cellulite laser treatment that usually requires only local anesthesia. Some light bruising can occur, which typically only lasts a week. Many patients are able to return to normal activities within a few days. How long will my results last? Post treatment, most patients noticed some improvement right away, and reported that results continued to improve over three to twelve months following treatment. In addition, 93% of patients surveyed were satisfied or very satisfied with their results one year post-procedure. Since new collagen is formed in the areas treated with Cellulaze and the structures under the skin are altered, the results are permanent. It is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise program to continue to enjoy the results.   How long does the Cellulaze procedure take and how does it feel? The procedure typically takes up to two hours, depending on the size of the areas to be treated. Cellulaze is performed under local anesthesia, eliminating any lengthy recovery. Because the area is numbed with local anesthesia, there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. Some patients report feeling a light pressure as the device is moved around.   What should I expect after the procedure? You’ll have some bruising, discomfort, and small amounts of fluid may leak from the incision sites. You may be a little bit sore, but most patients are able to go back to their normal activities after a day or two and resume more strenuous exercise after one to two weeks. Some patients may be asked to wear a compression garment after the procedure for a short period of time to assist with the healing process.   Will there be any scarring? The cellulite laser incision sites are very small (the size of the tip of a pen), and with proper care and by following the post operative procedures, any scars will be barely noticeable.
