The most common areas our male patients ask us to address are love handles, stomach, under the chin and finally, the chest area (for chest area photos, please visit our Gynecomastia section). Sunset Cosmetic Surgery offers body contouring at its best.
Also known as lipoplasty, the procedure is a popular technique that can remove fat deposits in specific areas of the body.
Drs. Svehlak and Yamini offer patients both the SMART Laser™ and the VASERlipo® Liposelection systems for smooth results and less post-operative swelling and recovery time. Your doctor will help you determine which method is best for your physique, goals and allotted recovery time. SMART Laser™ offers the quickest recovery time in most cases and can also help tighten skin, however VASER also offers precision and reduced recovery time as well.
Typical Recovery Time
The first day after your liposuction procedure, you will be groggy from the anesthesia and pain medications. The next day is usually the most uncomfortable. Most patients head back to work in 3-7 days and can resume moderate physical activity after several weeks to their comfort level. Depending on the areas treated, some patients are able to return to work in only one day.
