An eyelash transplant is, quite simply, the transplantation of hair into the eyelash line. It is typically performed on patients with missing, weak, thin or sparse eyelashes. These conditions happen for a variety of reasons including the genetic inability to properly grow eyelashes, physical trauma to the eyelashes, obsessive plucking, improper use of eyelash extensions and medical treatments that result in eyelash loss (such as chemotherapy).
Essentially, eyelash transplantation takes hair follicles from the back of the scalp, or other parts of the body, and individually places them into the eyelid. Eyelash transplants place the hair follicle on the end of a specialized eyelash transplant needle. The needle creates a tract through the eyelid and exits out at the lash line.
Thicken Your Lashes
It’s long been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and those windows should be draped with big, beautiful lashes. LATISSE®, available for Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area patients at Sunset Cosmetic Surgery, is the first and only medical treatment scientifically proven to enhance eyelash prominence. Claire Danes and Brook Shields are fans, as are women all across the country, who use the prescription cosmetic to grow longer and darker lashes.
Restylane is approved by the FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Many people use Restylane to treat the lines that form from the nose to the corners of the mouth, known as nasolabial folds. Restylane can also be used to fill-in other facial wrinkles and folds, or to lightly plump and/or define the lips. The results last for about 6 months for most people — which is about twice as long as collagen. Restylane treatments are typically scheduled twice a year.

Guidelines for the Best Results
Establish a Routine
The best way to maintain consistent application is to add LATISSE® into your regularly scheduled evening activities, such as removing your makeup and brushing your teeth.
Make it Accessible
Store the LATISSE® bottle near makeup or other skin care products to keep it handy.
Wait Patiently
Over-application will not speed results and may lead to irritation. Know that LATISSE® works, but only with consistent use over time.
*Patient results may vary.
Be a Blank Slate
Start with a clean, dry canvas. Remove all dirt and residue from your eyelids and wipe off any excess oils with soap and water to ensure a fresh surface before you apply. Be sure to take out any contact lenses.
Don’t Break the Rules
Allergan specially designs the applicator for precise application of the product. Use this and only this in your nightly routine.
Don’t Make Up Missed Doses
If you forget to apply the product one night, don’t double your dose in an effort to stay on track. Start applications anew the next night and commit to staying on schedule.
Keep It Clean
The applicator and mouth of the bottle can become contaminated if they come into contact with any other surfaces, including your fingers, which can lead to infection.
Keep Track
Photograph yourself throughout the process so you can see the amazing results firsthand, comparing your own before-and-after photos once the ideal results have been achieved.
