Dermal fillers are one of the top cosmetic procedures for restoring a youthful complexion without having to undergo surgery.Juvederm Los Angeles and Restylane are two popular dermal fillers available on the market. Both products are FDA-approved. As the skin ages, collagen and elastin break down underneath the surface, which can cause fine lines, deep wrinkles, folds, and expression lines in the skin. Los Angeles Juvederm and Restylane both work as dermal fillers to plump the skin, adding volume to the lips, and reduce sagging in the skin with minimal discomfort and no recovery time.
What Is the Difference?
The main differences between Los Angeles Juvederm and Restylane are:
- JUVÉDERM® XC is the ONLY hyaluronic acid (HA) filler approved by the FDA to last up to 1 year after initial treatment. Its unique manufacturing process provides a high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid which means results usually last longer.
- Juvederm’s unique manufacturing process also works to create a smooth consistency gel, which some say gives it a smoother, more natural look and feel. Other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers currently on the market, such as Restylane, are made of granular consistency gels.
- Finally, Juvederm is the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color.
All this aside, we have patients who absolutely love Restylane. We carry both Juvederm and Restylane to meet the needs of all of our patients. Both Juvederm and Restylane can provide successful results when administered by a physician with extensive experience in aesthetic dermal fillers. At Sunset, our double board certified plastic surgeons have many years of experience with injectable services.

Wrinkles and age are seemingly inseparable. Depictions of senior citizens, intended to emphasize their longevity, almost always focus on visible creases and lines around a thick pair of glasses. Rhinoplasty vs. Septoplasty
Rhinoplasty and septoplasty are both surgeries that target the nose, but though the procedures are related, they accomplish different goals.
